Friends of LMHBC
The Friends of LMHBC is our alumni society. It was officially launched at the boat naming of the Women’s 8, the Hannah and Flora Robson, in October 2012 with Mark Robson as Honorary President. Its primary purpose is to bring together alumni interested in following the progress of the club and supporting the boat club financially (see below for how to donate). If you would like to be involved in the running of the club, you can join the steering committee headed by Mark (please email him or any contemporary member of the committee). There are a number of alumni social events throughout the year.
President: Mark Robson
The Presidents’ Fund has been set up to help provide funds for coaching and equipment to keep the standard of rowing at LMH high and ensure it is accessible to all students. An ongoing aim of the fund is to be able to provide professional coaching to all crews in the club, something we were able to start in Michaelmas 2013.
To meet the rising costs of coaching, equipment maintenance and race entries without charging extortionate membership fees, we are raising money from alumni donations. If you would like to donate to the boat club, you can either:
- make a one-off or recurring donation by filling out this Donation form and returning it to:
- make a one-off donation online via the LMH website – just enter the amount you wish to donate and select “Boat Club” from the “Designation” drop-down box. Please tick the “Gift Aid” box if you are a UK tax payer so gift aid can be claimed on your donation.
We are extremely grateful for any donations you can make!
